Key points

Significant changes that seasonThe 2019/20 season was among the most change-heavy seasons of the Laws of the Game — including substitutions (leaving the field at the nearest point on the touchline), the conduct of technical staff (cards for team officials), goal kicks (removal of the requirement that the ball leave the penalty area) and the handball provisions.

Status of the translationThe binding text is the official IFAB version; the Referees Department's rendering served that season as the instructional and operational reference for referees in Iran.

Later editionsIFAB approves fresh changes each season; no more recent official version has been published publicly by the Federation.
