<h2>What Part 10 governs</h2>
<p>The UCI Cycling Regulations are divided into <strong>seventeen numbered parts</strong>, which sit alongside the Constitution and the Code of Ethics. Each article carries its own three-part number — such as 10.1.001 — the first figure of which is the number of this part. This document is <strong>Part 10</strong> of that body of regulations.</p><p>Continental championships organised by the continental confederations, and regional games such as the Asian Games.</p>

<h2>Key points</h2>

<li><b class="t">Responsibility and frequency</b>Article <strong>10.1.001</strong>: continental championships are held <strong>annually</strong> under the authority of the continental confederations — at least for the Olympic disciplines and the elite category.</li>
<li><b class="t">Deadline for calendar registration</b>The registration request must reach the UCI <strong>before 1 June of the preceding year</strong>, and the date is fixed in agreement with the UCI.</li>
<li><b class="t">Who submits the request</b>The calendar request is submitted by the <strong>host national federation</strong>, with the approval of the relevant continental confederation and for the discipline concerned.</li>
<li><b class="t">Regional games</b>Chapter II sets out the general regulations for regional games — the framework under which the cycling events of the Asian Games also fall.</li>

<h2>Who this document matters to</h2>
<p>For the Iranian federation, the deadline of 1 June of the preceding year is the most important operational point: a bid to host the Asian championships must be registered more than a year in advance and with the approval of the Asian confederation.</p>
