<h2>What Part 15 governs</h2>
<p>The regulations of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) are divided into <strong>seventeen numbered parts</strong>, which sit alongside the Constitution and the Code of Ethics. Each article carries its own three-part number — such as 15.1.001 — the first digit of which is the number of the part itself. This document is <strong>Part 15</strong> of that body of rules.</p><p>Cycling for All: participatory events held for the general public which do not follow the format of elite competition — in particular <strong>cyclosportive</strong> events.</p>

<h2>Key points</h2>
<ol class="reg-tl">
<li><b class="t">Participation and the participant's responsibility</b>The first chapter determines the conditions of participation and also the <strong>participant's own responsibility</strong> on registration — a point which, in events for all, unlike licensed competition, holds a particular place.</li>
<li><b class="t">Course safety and first aid</b>The second chapter makes the course, safety and first aid mandatory for cyclosportive events.</li>
<li><b class="t">Feeding on the course</b>Unlike cyclo-cross, in which the handing up of food and drink is prohibited, in events for all feeding forms part of the organisation of the event and has a separate provision.</li>
<li><b class="t">The oldest part of the body of rules</b>The current edition of this part is <strong>1 January 2022</strong> and it has not been revised since — the oldest numbered part of the UCI Regulations.</li>

<h2>Who this document matters to</h2>
<p>For organisers of events for all who wish their event to be recognised under the UCI banner, the safety and first-aid requirements of this part are a condition of entry. In liability claims arising from an accident at such events, this same text is likewise the basis on which the organiser's duties are measured.</p>
