About the 2019 edition

Features of this edition

  1. Structure of the documentThe Statutes are arranged in 24 articles, beginning with the name, seat and stakeholders, and proceeding to the objectives, the prohibition of discrimination, the bodies and relations with the national federations.
  2. Full list of the set of regulationsThe Statutes set out at their end a list of all the chapters in the set — from Chapter I to Chapter XXVII — and the body competent to adopt each; that same list shows on which authority the other handball regulations were made.
  3. Link with the anti-doping regulationsThe text states expressly that the federation's anti-doping regulations are an integral part of this set.

Who this document matters to

The rights and obligations of the Handball Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran — from membership and voting rights in the Congress to suspension — are defined in this document. For sports lawyers, the Statutes are the starting point of any case concerning the competence of the bodies of the international federation.

Each case is governed by the edition of these regulations that was in force at the time of the event; for that reason the previous editions are kept available on this page.
