FIFA's plan raised that same question, this time not at the level of a national league but at the level of the world's most popular sporting event.</p><h2>The Competition-Law Angle: The Super League Ruling's Shadow</h2><p>The affair has a further dimension in EU competition law. Commercialisation, however profitable, is unsustainable if pursued without proper statutory process and without persuading the organisation's own organs, and it can turn into a legitimacy crisis within days.
