The Legal Provisions of the International Handball Federation, in force from 21 December 2025.
| Adoption | 21 December 2025 — International Handball Federation |
| Structure | Chapter II of the Regulations of the International Handball Federation |
| Status | Current version — supersedes the edition of 3 October 2019 |
This document is Chapter II of the IHF Regulations and determines the jurisdiction of the adjudicating bodies, the route of appeal, the procedure and the enforcement of decisions. Every disciplinary or dispute case in international handball passes through a route mapped out in this very chapter.
For every case brought in international handball, the first question is which body has jurisdiction and where an appeal goes. Following this edition, the answer depends on the subject matter of the case: doping to the CAS Anti-Doping Division, other disputes to the International Handball Court of Arbitration once the internal stages have been exhausted, and Olympic disputes to CAS in Lausanne.
Each case is governed by the edition of these provisions that was in force at the time of the event; for that reason the previous editions are kept available on this page.
