The technical criteria for handball floors and the conditions for obtaining the IHF approval mark. The document follows the same structure as the ball and goal regulations: four short articles and ten appendices setting out the method for each test. The court is a rectangle 40 metres long and 20 metres wide.
For hall owners and operators, floor approval is a condition of hosting official events. The force reduction and slip resistance indicators also serve as the technical basis for assessing the condition of a court in player injury claims.
