The regulations of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) consist of the General Statutes at the apex and six Books of Internal Regulations: Book 1 General Provisions, Book 2 Competitions, Book 3 Players and Officials, Book 4 Anti-Doping, Book 5 The Zones, and Book 6 3x3 Basketball. This document is Book 5 of that set.
The structure of the FIBA Zones. The document has two layers: the core zone regulations, which apply identically to all zones, and then an appendix for each zone (Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe and Oceania) containing the supplementary provisions specific to it.
For the Iranian federation, the Asia appendix is the directly relevant part of the document: the composition and powers of the bodies of Asian basketball, the manner of voting in the Zone Assembly, and the status of the sub-zones are all determined here.
