Four chapters

  1. Chapter A — General Provisions Purpose and scope, interpretation, the integrity code of continental organisations and members, and the natural and legal persons covered.
  2. Chapter B — General Duties Good conduct, the duty to report and cooperate, confidentiality, neutrality, conflicts of interest, forgery and misuse of funds, the offering and accepting of gifts and hospitality, and candidature to host events.
  3. Chapter C — Prevention of the Manipulation of Competitions
  4. Chapter D — Enforcement of the Code (Integrity Unit Rules) Investigation of possible violations, objections to the panel or to jurisdiction, and proceedings.

Why the fourth chapter matters

In many federations the procedure of the judicial bodies is a separate instrument. Not here: the rules on investigation, objections to jurisdiction and proceedings are all contained in this Code, so mounting a defence in a disciplinary case requires no search for any further document.

Enforcement of this Code rests with the Aquatics Integrity Unit, which is a separate body.
