<h2>What Book 5 governs</h2>
<p>The regulations of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) consist of the <strong>General Statutes</strong> at the apex and <strong>six Books of Internal Regulations</strong>: Book 1 General Provisions, Book 2 Competitions, Book 3 Players and Officials, Book 4 Anti-Doping, Book 5 The Zones, and Book 6 3x3 Basketball. This document is <strong>Book 5</strong> of that set.</p><p>The structure of the FIBA Zones. The document has two layers: the <strong>core zone regulations</strong>, which apply identically to all zones, and then an <strong>appendix for each zone</strong> (Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe and Oceania) containing the supplementary provisions specific to it.</p>

<li><b class="t">Dispute resolution and financial provisions</b>The core regulations contain separate sections on the financial provisions of the zone and on dispute resolution.</li>

<p>For the Iranian federation, the Asia appendix is the directly relevant part of the document: the composition and powers of the bodies of Asian basketball, the manner of voting in the Zone Assembly, and the status of the sub-zones are all determined here.</p>
