What are the United World Wrestling Financial Regulations?

The United World Wrestling (UWW) Financial Regulations determine the federation's financial resources and the financial obligations of national federations: the annual membership fee, the licence prices for athletes, referees and coaches, competition entry fees, the fee payable by the host of an international event, the rules on advertising and sponsorship, and the financial sanctions for breaches such as the cancellation of a tournament or late submission of the list of names. Payments are made through the Athena system.

Who this document matters to

For the Iranian Wrestling Federation and host clubs, this document determines what amounts must be paid and within what deadlines, and what the consequences of a breach are — including the cancellation of the accreditation of team members where the list of names does not arrive one month before the competition. A point that connects to the Congress rules of procedure: a federation that has not discharged its financial obligations has no right to vote in the Congress.
