| Date of memorandum | 25 September 2020 |
| In force from | 1 January 2021 |
| Part amended | Part 1 — General Organisation of Cycling as a Sport |
| Document type | Memorandum of amendments |
What is this document?
The Union Cycliste Internationale does not republish the full text of its regulations on each occasion; instead it issues a "memorandum of amendments" setting out only the provisions that have changed, with the article number and the previous and new text. The present document is one such memorandum and concerns Part 1 of the Regulations.
Why the memorandum of amendments is kept separately
In a case concerning an event on a particular date, the question is not what the regulations say today, but what they said on that date. The consolidated text of today does not show this; the memorandum of amendments does.
In addition, the memoranda themselves state the date on which each provision entered into force — and that date is not always the same as the date of publication.
Who this document matters to
National cycling federations, teams and commissaires, and lawyers examining disciplinary cases or challenges to results falling within the period covered by these amendments.
