The UCI Cycling Regulations are divided into seventeen numbered parts, which sit alongside the Constitution and the Code of Ethics. Each article carries its own three-part number — such as 9.1.002 — the first figure of which is the number of the part itself. This document is Part 9 of that body of regulations.
The World Championships in every cycling discipline: how they are staged, and the quota under which, and the criteria on which, each national federation enters participants.
The rainbow jersey and the title "world champion" are legal assets of the UCI; their commercial use without authorisation is a matter for a proprietary claim. For national federations, the chapter on quotas governs the planning of their entries.
